The "I" Date

After taking a few weeks off for Christmas & for Curt to do more work in Colorado, we are back to our ABC dates--and very excited about it!

This last Saturday was our "I" date. Granted, I was the one in charge, so I had all the control, but it was one of my favorite dates so far.

The main part of the date was going up to "I"KEA to shop & eat dinner. (with Tucker as our cute little third wheel)

While there, Tucker experienced his first paper cut "I"njury & bled more than we thought possible from a paper cut--poor little guy! We enjoyed a dinner of hot dogs & cinnamon rolls (super healthy, I know), and we purchased some bedding for Tucker's new big boy bed!

Taken with Curt's phone...so not the greatest quality, but you get the idea.

*Side note on the big boy bed: We got it this weekend, and he's been doing GREAT so far--we haven't had any issues yet! (though I'm sure they'll happen eventually...once he figures out how much freedom he has now!) Doesn't he look so big? I don't feel old enough to have a son big enough to be sleeping in a big boy bed!

We also got some matching fabric to make bumpers for the crib for the new little guy...and we're hoping one of our friends/fellow bloggers might be willing to make them for us in exchange for picture boards and/or handyman services??? (let us know if you're interested...otherwise we'll probably contact you...)

After IKEA, we headed over to Fazoli's & got some delicious "I"talian "I"ce...something I've been craving throughout this pregnancy. (too bad the nearest Fazoli's is in Draper!)

After coming home & putting Tucker down, Curt & I "I"nterviewed each other with some "I"nteresting "I"nterview questions, which brought on some funny & "I"nteresting conversations!

The Interview Questions:

- If you could change one thing about your physical body, what would it be?
     Holly: smaller thighs
     Curt: to be taller
- If you could change one thing about your personality, what would it be?
Holly: to be more outgoing/less shy or worried about what people think
Curt: to be more friendly/less dry
- What is the last thing you laughed your head off about?
Holly: the AFV video of the girl high jumping
     Curt: same

*For your enjoyment, here is that very AFV clip, just so you can get a good laugh in too!

- What is your biggest pet peeve?
     Holly: mean people
     Curt: dump people
- When was the last time you cried?
Holly: last weekend when Curt was gone & Tucker was being very difficult
     Curt: when Tucker was born
- If you could have one super power, what would it be?
     Holly: to control time
Curt: to make money out of thin air
- What's your current favorite song or movie? (whichever comes to mind first)
Holly: Glee version of "Teenage Dream" (song)
Curt: Live Free Die Hard (movie)
- If you could trade places with any one person for a week (famous or not, living or dead, real or fictional), who would it be? (this is the question that brought the most interesting discussion)
     Holly: Tucker
     Curt: Holly
-What three words would you use to best describe yourself, right this second?
     Holly: nesting, tired, content
     Curt: awesome, coolest, humble

It was a fun night, and so good just to be together, especially since Curt had been gone for the past week!

AFV Video of the Week

Here is our AFV pick of the week: a music montage of people fainting (lots of grooms, interestingly enough...) I had no idea so many people fainted at weddings! Enjoy!
